Hello! My name is Gabi (nb, they/them) and I go by balsamista online. I’m a tattoo artist, craft maker and musician based in Finland.
My main tattoo styles are engraving/woodcut, surrealism and illustrative. I draw ready designs but I’m open to custom tattoos that fit my style. Mostly I immortalise pets, creatures if folklore, botanicals and others. I work with machine (mostly black) and handpoke (colourful).
My art can be described as cutesy and a bit cursed but ready to bring you a smile- there is always lots of cats, strange creatures and some abstraction. I work with traditional art- painting, drawing, different textile mediums- hand embroidery, cross-stitch, fusion techniques, soft sculpture, a bit of ceramics as well as various bead work and loom beading.
I love dark and gothic gothic aesthetic, nature, pets and flavourful food.
